Howdy!

I’m Vanessa Dickerson, a senior in the Class of 2026 at Texas A&M University. I’m majoring in Computer Science and minoring in Statistics.

I’ve worked in Software Engineering as an intern at 2 companies, 1 enterprise and 1 more startup, consistently since May 2024.

Most of my work experience is in full-stack web-application development, with a passion for backend and database-related work. I’ve also worked on ETL pipelines for developer analytics in a large enterprise environment. I am very interested in cloud computing, and my work experience has heavily involved AWS, CI/CD, infrastructure, and altogether making ideas and issues into production-ready software.

I regularly attend conferences such as O4U Digital and oSTEM National, having been an O4U Campus Ambassador for Texas A&M in 2025. I’m also involved as a member and leader in various student organizations that support and connect LGBTQ+ students & allies.

In my personal life, I like hanging out with friends, listening to music, playing chess, watching shows, and advocacy!
